The Bhagavad Gita on Trust and Loyalty

Trust is the reason Arjuna can hear what Krishna has to say. Krishna gives him the ancient teaching, He says, because Arjuna is His devotee and His friend, and Arjuna accepts Krishna’s words as true before he has seen the proof. The Bhagavad Gita shows both sides of trust. It shows how a leader earns it, through consistency, through truthful speech that does not wound, and through standing by one’s duty when it would be easier to run. And it shows how a leader keeps it, by delivering those who depend on them, soon and without fail. The verses gathered here are about the one asset a leader cannot buy.
